New strategies to lower greenhouse gas emissions across the Commonwealth are being developed in Virginia. Virginia received a $6 million federal funding to develop two comprehensive plans, the "Priority Climate Action Plan" and the "Comprehensive Climate Action Plan." While the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan is more concerned with the long term, the Priority Climate Action Plan will concentrate on state initiatives that can reduce emissions right away.
