Flurosat, Volkova's initial business, served as the foundation for Regrow. When it was established in 2016, Flurosat employed algorithms, other tools, and data from satellites and drones to assist farmers in maximizing agricultural yield. Regrow was created in early 2021 following the merger of FluroSat and soil health startup Dagan.
The goal of Regrow is to strengthen the supply chains for food, fiber, and agriculture. Its technology provides businesses with previously unheard-of visibility into emissions across their agricultural supply chain, enabling them to spot opportunities for emissions reduction or abatement. The Regrow Agriculture Resilience platform also assesses the possible effects of these possibilities, assisting businesses in creating feasible and successful emission-reduction plans. The platform can be used by farmers to change crop types or inputs to increase output while lowering carbon emissions. To minimize emissions, they could, for example, cut back on the number of times they till a field or plant a cover crop in place of leaving a field naked.
