Titus Morris, an off-grid farmer, lacks a formal identity, electricity, running water, a car, and sometimes even shoes.Morris, who lives deep in the Appalachian forests, revealed his modest, solitary way of life in a video recorded by YouTuber Peter Santenello.
Morris reveals in the hour-long video that he grows his own food, has no government-issued ID, and his monthly living expenses are only $140 — but that he is happiest when he is "free from the system." Morris, who grew up in a very devout home, felt he wanted to spend his adult life in the same vein as his parents and adhere to "pure Christianity."
The isolated Kentucky farmer doesn't even have an ID, claiming that his parents obtained a social security number for him when he was a youngster, but he never signed it and decided to withdraw it as an adult. He also stated that his birth certificate was destroyed in a flood and that he does not have a driver's license. "I don't exist in the eyes of the government, but I do exist in the lives of those who know me and my Heavenly Father," he informed Santenello.Morris' lucky wife may need to make some changes, including her sleeping arrangements.
