In an effort to cut the carbon emissions from the aviation sector, industry leaders gather in Minnesota.

To make Minnesota the birthplace of sustainable aviation fuel, major companies in finance, energy, science, and aviation have joined together. The executive vice president of Xcel Energy, Brett Carter, stated, "So you're bringing together some of the biggest organizations on the planet to try and address a problem that is very difficult to tackle.
"The aviation industry is going to be one of the hardest to clean up. As a result, when it comes to carbon emissions, the transportation sector currently leads the nation. Therefore, if we want to decarbonize those aircraft, we're going to require better fuels, Carter added.

Some people believe that Sustainable Airline Fuel, a fuel that may be produced using solid waste or even leftover cooking oil, is the answer.
