Energy Saving Trust
Energy Saving Trust is an organisation established in 1992 working to address the climate emergency and a smart, decarbonised, decentralised energy system. They are working to find new ways to save carbon and deliver the benefits of energy saving such as reducing fuel poverty, lower fuel bills, jobs and growth in renewable energy industries, healthier homes and cleaner air. They are also looking forward to support the UK in meeting 2050 carbon targets recommended by the Committee for Climate Change.
They deliver the Energy Redress Scheme on behalf of Ofgem, which distributes voluntary payments made by energy companies that may have breached regulations in U.K. While their work Scotland are funded by the Scottish Government, including the flagship Home Energy Scotland service, a network of local advice centres offering impartial, expert advice.
