The company's name is a tribute to inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla and was founded in July 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning as Tesla Motors.

Faraday Future is an American start-up technology company focused on the development of electric vehicles which was founded in 2014 by Chinese businessman Jia Yueting which is headquared in Los Angeles, California, USA. The company is set to release its first car in 2023 named the Faraday Future FF91. Interestingly, it plans to compete with Tesla. The company is named after English scientist Michael Faraday for one of the founding principles of electric motor technology, known as Faraday's law of induction.
Lucid Group, Inc.
Lucid Group, Inc. is an American electric vehicle manufacturer headquared in Newark, California, United States. The company was founded in 2007 and previously was known as Atieva. It was originally focused on building electric vehicle batteries and powertrains for other vehicle manufacturers. The company plans to introduce The Lucid Air in 2022 that would offer one of the fastest charging times of any EV, with 20 miles per minute of charge.
Canoo
Canoo has pioneered a new model for electric vehicle ownership by providing automobiles on a subscription basis to its consumers. Canoo's diverse EV products, ranging from personal vehicles to freight delivery trucks, let both individual and business clients meet their transportation demands responsibly. Though it is a new automaker, it hopes to produce multiple EVs, the first being an electric van. Similarly, it aims to bring a futurist look and feel to their electric vehicles.
Ford
Ford is a classic American car maker that produces various types of vehicles ranging from pickup trucks to plug-in hybrids. Their leading electric vehicle is the Ford Focus Electric which is an electric version of the popular Ford Focus. Similarly, it plans to manufacture the Ford F-150, as an EV variant, naming it the Ford F-150 Lightning. Likewise, an electric version of Ford’s popular family SUV, the Explorer, is also on the way to being manufactured.

It is California-based electric car company and falls under the most promising start-ups in the EV era. The company is set to release the all-electric R1S SUV and R1T pickup truck. In addition to producing these adventure-ready electric vehicles for consumers, Rivian will be making all-electric delivery vans for Amazon. The company is dedicated to addressing the planet’s climate crisis and preserving the critical biodiversity needed for the planet’s long-term survival.

Nissan is the company that has sold the most EVs of any manufacturer worldwide. It’s headquar is located in Japan. Their electric car offerings are led by the Nissan Leaf which was released decade ago but are still practical and affordable. Launched in 2010, the Nissan LEAF comes in five different models with various features.

Forth is a pioneer in the field of electric and smart vehicle technology, producing fully electric and hybrid-electric vehicles for personal and ride-sharing use. The company's web platform collects data and specifications on vehicle range, horsepower, and other features, as well as providing price and rebate choices to clients.

Kia is a car company that has emerged as an affordable and dependable company to rival brands like Toyota and Honda. It is a South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer headquared in Seoul, South Korea. The company said it will offer seven new electric car models to its inventory in the next five years. One of the best-selling electric car is the Kia Soul EV.
RAM
The company plans to release its most popular truck, the Ram 1500, as an EV in 2024. The Ram 1500 EV will have a range of about 500 miles with battery packs offering 159-200 kilowatt-hours. The truck should ride on a brand-new EV platform engineered by parent company Stellantis, called the STLA Frame. Similarly, a Ram midsize truck is in the works and it's one of eight new vehicles coming in the next three to five years.
