Clean Beauty Showcase Introduces U.S. Organic, Sustainable Products

Twenty-five top local distributors specializing in clean beauty products participated in the Greater China Virtual Clean Beauty Showcase, a business match-making event organized by the U.S. Commercial Service in Hong Kong and Macau on February 23, 2023. This event took place simultaneously on February 23 across all U.S. diplomatic missions throughout China and Hong Kong. The participants tested products and learned more about the U.S. companies through each company’s three-minute pitch video. Colin Crosby, Acting Consul General for the U.S. General Consulate Hong Kong and Macau, spoke at the event, saying: “Helping U.S. companies succeed in Hong Kong is one of our Mission’s key priorities. The clean beauty movement has been developing steadily among Hong Kong’s sophisticated and discerning consumers. The high quality and high standards of U.S. products, including our USDA certification, is highly sought after and trusted by consumers.” In 2021, China impod US$20.29 billion worth of personal care products and cosmetics from the United States. China is the second-fastest growing personal health care market in the world. Many U.S. companies are interested in being a part of this growth.
