Cargill, Mitsui and Maersk Tankers Land First Customers for New Green Tech Solution

Cargill, Mitsui and Maersk Tankers have signed on a their customers to a new green technology solution, called Njord, which aims to accelerate cost-effective and industry-wide greenhouse gas reductions. They are using their combined technical and operational expertise to bring a full-service package to shipowners and operators, based on a combination of energy saving devices targeted at lowering vessel emissions. In an effort to cut maritime greenhouse gas emissions, the companies came together to explore various decarbonization solutions, and have spent the last few years trialing both existing and new fuel-saving technologies on the large and varied fleet they jointly own, manage or char.
