A space project to combat air pollution and anticipate weather

The University of Surrey will lead the initiative, which will focus on monitoring air pollution and forecasting atmospheric weather. The project's goal is to better measure climate change and improve catastrophe response in Singapore, but the findings will help people all across the world. Space South Central will collaborate with peers in Singapore to create crucial instrumentation capable of collecting data critical to understanding the difficulties and impacts of climate change.

The project will include cutting-edge electronic propulsion technology, cutting-edge onboard AI processing technology, next-generation sensors powered by quantum technology, and miniaturized timing mechanisms. These will construct a very low-Earth-orbit constellation to help with space sustainability and handle major environmental challenges like air pollution and weather forecasting.
